Not just a humorous poke at iconic brands. It’s also a study of how these brands are so entrenched in our minds that they are still recognizable when stripped of their defining elements.

Necessity is the mother of invention. And the nature of life ensures that invention will continue because, well, life happens. And, for me, it did. Big time. I had plans. I had things figured out. But there's this illusion of control in our modern culture that is fed by the lie that we can do or become anything if we just work hard enough or want something bad enough. But over the course of one year, all of my plans and everything I was sure of were vaporized. I was in a car accident. I unexpectedly had to move house. I lost my job. Almost lost a house. Unexpected deaths. Health problems. Trips to hospital emergency rooms. Challenging issues with my children. My life became one of non stop chaos and crisis. So, like many other creative types, I threw myself into creating. I needed to see something resolved. I wanted to walk out of the forest fire of my life with something to be proud of while preventing myself from losing my mind.
Curiotique isn't just a bunch of oddities from someone looking to get a laugh (which I hope you do) or to make a quick buck (which would be nice). It is the fruit of necessity and the hope that creative things born of personal hardship will bring a little joy to you or a loved one. And if it's the slightest bit successful, it will also allow me to support causes that strive to provide healing in a highly unpredictable world. So, welcome to Curiotique – my place to explore the absurd and the beautiful in an uncertain world.
